The VULCA Seminar 2023 took place in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana from November 23 to 26. People from makerspaces, FabLabs and maker-communities from all over Europe came together to exchange thoughts, experiences and ideas on the topic of "LEARNING NETWORKS". 13 ZAM members were there.
The 'Aquarium' is the entrance to the workshop building. It gets its name from its large glass facade. This is where the workshop for rapid prototyping and electronics is emerging.
On October 18, 2023, the members of the Betreiberverein ZAM were invited to a plenary meeting there. Nearly fifty people accepted the invitation.
What were once two neglected exterior walls along the Westliche Stadtmauerstraße at ZAM have become an artistic eye-catcher, thanks to the winners of our Wall Art competition. While @gosp_ds created a piece in yellow and brown tones with a minimalist–futuristic vibe, the @tichoart1 artwork is airy and colorful.
Come to Frei Bordsteinkante, the festival for art + culture in Erlangen's old town, on Saturday, October 7. The ZAM Kreativtreff has come up with a colorful program and invites you to join in, create and make music. At 17:00 o'clock Ami Lyons & Band will be playing. Admission to all events is free!
The time has finally come ... we are gradually moving the workshop from the south building to the so-called "Aquarium". Lend a hand and join us for "ZAMräumen"! Every Tuesday from 18:00 to 22:00 o'clock and every Saturday from 14:00 to 20:00.
From July 23 to 28, the international FAB Conference took place in Bhutan. Schumi and Julian made the long journey to Bhutan to represent ZAM — with a special focus on our work in volunteering and community building.
The renovation of the future Center for Exchange and Making, located in the heart of Erlangen’s old town, is progressing – with support from the European Union. Up to 30% of the planning and construction costs may be covered by the European Fund for Regional Development (EFRE) as part of the REACT-EU initiative.
