The Terrarium project
What happens when we allow a piece of mushroom mycelium from the Fungarium to decay under controlled conditions? How does this affect the soil and the air? These are important questions, as mycelium may one day be used as packaging or insulation material – and subsequently be disposed of in a sustainable manner. The terrarium project seeks to explore and answer these questions in depth.
Trying is the beginning of everything
At the Festival of Experiments on June 22, 2024, in the cozy garden of E-Werk, we explored our environment together with many curious guests. The event was hosted by TechNat e.V., with whom we are planning to do future collaborations at ZAM.

Invitation to the MoskitOS workshop
The workshop team intends to take the MoskitOS project across borders to bring the German and French cycling communities together. The workshop is the perfect opportunity to work together on the project documentation and translate it into more languages. At least two MoskitOS recumbent bikes will be built.
Vulca Seminar 2023
The VULCA Seminar 2023 took place in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana from November 23 to 26. People from makerspaces, FabLabs and maker-communities from all over Europe came together to exchange thoughts, experiences and ideas on the topic of "LEARNING NETWORKS". 13 ZAM members were there.
Freischwimmer: Premiere in the ‘Aquarium’
The 'Aquarium' is the entrance to the workshop building. It gets its name from its large glass facade. This is where the workshop for rapid prototyping and electronics is emerging. On October 18, 2023, the members of the Betreiberverein ZAM were invited to a plenary meeting there. Nearly fifty people accepted the invitation.
